Salita (ex-Solita) is a Bristol Channel Cutter 28 berthed on San Francisco Bay. In 1977, Len Barton purchased a bare hull from the Samuel L. Morse Company in Costa Mesa, California. He trucked her to Santa Cruz, California and spent eight months finishing her interior and exterior in Hawaiian Koa, Australian blue gum, maple, teak and mahogany. He departed San Diego for a multi year cruise around the Pacific. Salita has been to Mexico and back and has sailed on San Francisco Bay since the early 1990s. In 2022, she was substantially restored at the Spaulding Maritime Center in Sausalito, California.

This video is two minutes of Salita's exterior and interior followed by two minutes of SF Bay sailing. It gives a good overview of the boat's fine details and her excellent performance (so not just eye candy, but a real sailing vessel!). The last frame notes that Salita sailed over 1,000 nm in 2023, so she's a real workhorse as well.
